Wendy Thompson

Wendy Thompson is the Executive Director and General Manager of Planet Bingo. Prior to joining Planet Bingo, Wendy was one the provinces most successful fundraisers. Her work to support charitable causes continues to benefit the 87 members of Planet Bingo. Responsible for a three floor 27,500 square foot bingo operation that employs over 80 employees, Wendy and her team have returned on average over 5 million dollars per year to the non profit members of Planet Bingo, who in turn support programs and services in the community.

Wendy is active in her community as a fundraiser, a Board Member of two important organizations and as a CEO in the Charitable Bingo Industry. Wendy participates in numerous international panels and forums as well as being a guest speaker at business and gaming industry conferences throughout North America. Her bingo expertise has been particularly helpful as the bingo industry struggles for enhancement and status during the recent introduction of BC's Bill 5 Gaming Act. In addition to her own organization, Wendy has served on a Minister's Advisory Committee; is a member of the Coalition of Self Managed Operations (COSMO), an Executive Committee member of the British Columbia Bingo Council (BCBC), a member of the Bingo Advisory Committee for the BC Lottery Corporation and winner of the Display of Excellence Award from the Canadian Gaming Summit and Exhibition in 2000. She holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of British Columbia as well as a degree in Marketing.

Don Mann

As Gaming Manager with Planet Bingo, Don oversees all gaming on site, including bingo and lottery services. In this position, Don acts as a liaison with all Government officials and handles communication in kind, to the Managers and staff of Planet Bingo. With assistance from our Senior Operation Manager and Operation Managers, Don directs staff, inventory, and cash handling for all bingo and lottery products.

Don has worked in the gaming industry for over 16 years. He was a founding partner of the largest charity casino operation in Eastern Ontario. More recently, Don acted in the capacity of Casino Operations Manager at one of our local Casinos. In both positions, Don was exposed to every nuance of a casino operation including the management of staff and shift managers, recruitment and selection, training and development, purchasing, scheduling, policy and procedure development, liaison with government officials, and the supervision of table games, slot and bank departments.

Dave Dooley

Dave Dooley is the Manager of Finance at Planet Bingo. Dave is responsible for the overall financial management of the organization, which includes producing financial statements, accounting, banking, AP/AR and conducting internal audits. Dave has been with Planet Bingo for 7 years, during which time he has responded to many alterations to the financial model. In one year alone, there were four adjustments to the financial model due to governmental changes.

Dave's background prepared him for the multi-faceted responsibilities that Planet Bingo has thrown his way; he worked in both non-profit and public practice for over 17 years with activities ranging from auditing financial statements, year-end working paper files, personal and corporate tax returns, consulting with clients and managing the day-to-day accounting for a group of non-profit societies before joining CGMA Planet Bingo.

Claudio D'Agnolo

As Manager of Human Resources at CGMA - Planet Bingo, Claudio is responsible for all Human Resource related initiatives and activities.

His experience includes providing strategic and operational guidance to union and non-union environments in both private and public sector organizations. Claudio brings to CGMA - Planet Bingo a Hands-on, results oriented HR leader with a diverse range of expertise including policy and procedure development, recruitment, management and organizational development, and performance management systems design. In addition to Claudio's experience, his educational background includes degrees in Political Science and Sociology and a Diploma in Human Resources Management. The combination of education, effective communication & relationship management skills gives him the necessary ingredients to be an effective Manager at CGMA - Planet Bingo.

Abby Dy

Marketing Manager

As Marketing Manager at Planet Bingo, Abby is responsible for all Marketing initiatives including advertising, public relations, and Marketing programs. She overlooks all promotions, ensuring variety, originality, and grandeur is tied into the mix of all in-hall promotions.

Abby is fairly new to the gaming industry, Abby brings with her a Marketing background in both retail and high-tech. In her two years with Planet Bingo, she has learned a lot about player wants and needs, and adapts promotions and Marketing plans accordingly. She holds a Business Degree with a Co-op designation from Simon Fraser University, with a concentration in Marketing.

Siobhan Blackstock

Promotions Coordinator

As the Promotions Coordinator, Siobhan helps in the coordination and implementation of promotional events. She assists the marketing manager with marketing projects and initiatives, and is responsible for keeping staff updated on promotional activities.

Siobhan is new to Planet Bingo and the gaming industry in general. She draws her experience from her education, which includes a Diploma of Technology in Marketing Management - Communications, and past and current volunteer positions.
